About our group
The goal in our research group is to develop catalytic organic synthesis for drug discovery. We synthesize difficult-to-access targets, giving special attention to drug-like molecules for which a key pharmacological property can only be envisioned. In this way, we hope to show the potential of synthesis while being exposed to unforeseen areas in chemical and medical research. We address problems in synthesis by designing catalytic methods and catalysts based on mechanistic principles, hoping to develop more efficient, practical and selective (sustainable) reactions.
